Season 2
The West Wing comes back with season 2 on 10-4-2000 and the opening episode from season was ‘In The Shadow of Two Gunmen: Part 1’. Season first ends with a cliffhanger so second season picks up the things where they’re left by the season 1 finale. As the season two begins, it’s apparent that destined attacker was actually focused on Bartlet’s Young African-American assistant Charlie Young. First few couples were suspicious inasmuch as the full extent of injuries to Bartlet and his deputy chief of staff, Josh Lyman are not immediately revealed to the public. Major plot developments of second season include the kidnapping of five DEA Agents in South America and the fatal results of rescue attempts. Season comes to an end on 5-6-2001 with the episode entitled ‘Two Cathedrals’. Season concludes with a tragedy involving Bartlet and his loyal secretary Delores which results in a crisis of faith and a momentous decision.
